The bank run occurred when the bank ran out of money because people wanted to cash out everything they put in the bank, and then the bank couldn?t pay out enough to everyone else, which caused riots and extreme madness. One way that this effected the U.S. international politics were that it raised potential candidates to talk more about a plan in order for this not to occur, and the bank ?collapsed? because of all this violence over money.
Frank Crowe was a hard-working man that made sure that everything about the construction of the Hoover Dam was on time and was determined to construct a masterpiece, the Hoover Dam. Some innovations that made this whole construction possible was that the government approved the right to construct the Hoover Dam, and members would compete with other members as teams to see who got the job done faster, which was like a friendly race as inspiration to one another.
The significance of the construction of the Hoover Dam is that it was needed to be built 10 times faster and people had to work through extreme heat, and deadly fumes. There also was a $3,000 fine for every day that this masterpiece was late on the job.
The Dust Bowl happened because there were high altitude winds which pushed what all of the tractors and other farm tools? leftovers away. There was a cold front which causing air to be pushing down and moving all over the place and this is what it resulted in, the Dust Bowl. I?d say that there?s a 50-50 chance that it could have been prevented. The farmers probably couldn?t tell what the weather was like and didn?t know that such high altitude winds were abroad, which made it impossible to stop what they had already done.
The boxing matches between Joe Louis and Max were such big stories internationally because Joe had won 24 consecutive fights, the fight was for the heavyweight championship, Joe?s family needed the money, and it was a battle for who had the better country, Germany or the U.S., because if Max won he would receive an award from Hitler by taking down Joe. Max won the first fight but then lost the second one, happy that he lost due to the award being so grand and Max was very humble and Max then gave money to Joe in order to support him.

"Cryptozoology," Grace said. "The study of hidden animals."
"How do you study something that's hidden?"

One connection I could make to these quotes are that I thought that Bigfoot, the Yeti, and the Lochness Monster were real as a child. As a child you are basically told something and you automatically assume that it's true. I was like that, and believed anything anyone told me, which forced me to believe in all of those cryptids, which obviously aren't existent in reality. The same thing possibly could have happened to Wolfe, but lived on in him forever.

"We will," Grace assured him."
"Marty was already checking his e-mail on the Gizmo."
I predict that Marty will find out so many new tools to use the Gizmo for, and he is pretty fascinated with what has already been said. Marty will most likely tell his friend by e-mail about this island and whole journey, seeing as though Marty wants to download some of his drawings for his comic book, and will want to share the great news with his buddy. Grace isn't as fascinated but will make sure that Marty isn't doing anything bad on the island. Also, I predict that Grace and Marty will be able to take their Gizmo's on the trip to the Congo and use it as a weapon for safety.
